Position Overview
Qualified, interested candidates are being sought for the position of Feed Products Supervisor for Cargill Sweeteners at the Corn Milling Facility, Dayton, Ohio.
This Position will require a strong leader that is innovative, has high quality standards and can work effectively with technicians and co-workers to develop a high performance team environment that will take our feed product lines from our traditional systems to the next level of customer focus.
Principal Accountabilities
Safety Focus 20%
· Immediately address any unsafe acts, practices or conditions
· Complete proactive safety activities as outlined by the Safety Coordinator.
· Complete thorough safety inspections of your area and of the assigned department on a monthly basis.
· Do a thorough review and sign off for all safety incidents and RCA's completed for your department
Customer/Supplier Focus 30%
· Assist in the coordination of customer visits for your department.
· Lead product line team to assure customer needs are addressed
· Plan and implement processes and projects to resolve customer incidents, improve product consistency and develop new feed products.
· Work with the Commercial sales team to secure new Customers and product business.
· Support and develop a team to implement new or changed product offerings.
Production Management and Process Improvement 30%
· Ensure efficient and timely production of Corn Gluten Feed, Corn Gluten Meal, and wet feed.
· Coordinate production and shipment schedules to ensure customer demands are met.
· Provide weekly production planning and optimize operations.
· Review and analysis of monthly report data (24A, production, lost production, maintenance spending, CMO, energy use, etc.)
· Complete monthly review of energy conservation and reclaim systems to ensure proper performance.
Maintenance 20%
· Coordinate the operations with maintenance scheduling.
· Insure proper communication and coordination with other department managers and maintenance coordinators to insure proper work is planned and scheduled.
· Develop technician team in operational maintenance, permits, work scheduling, work order entry, etc.
Personnel
· Provide feedback and coaching to team members for improved performance.
· Lead training process for new and existing technicians.
· Work with all team members to build a more self directed highly motivated and engaged team.

Requirements |
Required
* High School degree
* A minimum of 1 year experience in production management or supervision
* Strong Leadership capabilities.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
* Must be willing and able to work a flexable schedule as needed
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and adverse conditions
* Willingness and ability to support team based work environment
* Initiative, pursuit of continuous learning, and ability to manage change
* Demonstrated leadership skills and customer focus.
* Ability to travel up to 10% for trainings, meetings, etc.
Preferred:
* A Bachelor's degree with higher preference to Engineering
* Advanced safety knowledge, to include permit procedures, hazardous chemicals, or process safety management
* Experience using computer software including IMS, AS400, Microsoft, PI
* Knowledge of safety, environmental and food safety policies and practices
* Excellent mechanical skills
* Prioritization skills
* Coaching skills
* A belief and commitment in the "Self Directed Work Team" philosophy
* Supervisory experience
* Some working knowledge of a production facility (corn milling preferred)
* Risk management skills
